Ashley DeTurck, born in February of 1996, started riding a small bike 2 days after she learned to ride a bicycle at the age of 5 following in her brothers footsteps just as he did at the same young age.

The first picture gives you the perspective of what was to come , she always has loved motorcycle as so does her brother. The bike pictured below is the current bike she is now racing in 2009. My father and mother would be proud of her.

Above is Ashley when she was aout 8 years old. She ran a Yamaha PW50 for 2 years or so before I built this bike for her. She quickly out grew it....

Ashley wanted a larger bike but one that looked like a top fuel Harley, SO we built this bike that she ran for 3 years starting as a stock briggs 16hop v-twin. By the end of the 3rd year we had it on alcohol, supercharged with a mini blower.

Here is again a new bike we built before the 2008 season. This was a yz250 based dragbike built at www.drfshop.com . She matured so much with this bike we should have known what was to  come next.......

BrAshley began testing the Sunday after Christmas in 2008 . That Sunday it was 72 degrees. We put together a solid motor with a stock head/cams & 903cc piston kit. For 2-3 hours all I had her do was drive the bike around, no launches up thetrack, down the return strip, foot shift.

Sometime in March we had good enough weather to get to the track for some more testing, now we are doing easy passes adding clutch when she's ready. By dial in day we had the clutch set as tight as the small motor could handle. Best pass of the day was a 5.78 et ( 12 passes were between 5.82 to a 5.96)

First Race of the year was almost here. Ashley wanted to go a little faster but I was pretty sure that 903cc's was at its max. I put in a 1075 piston kit and she was ready. We tested the week before the first poits race. After a few easy passes to make sure she was ok with it, she let it go. After 8 passes and a little clutch adjustments she ran her best ET of 5.42 seconds at 95 mph ! We are ready....

Well first race is in the books, winning both her classes, super modified(751-1100cc) and pro comp(5.50 index).
